The Flat Fee listing model was originated by a sister company, 2.4 Realty, LLC, in August, 2000. The operations of 2.4 Realty were merged with Badgerland in 2009. The business model is designed to maximize the savings to home sellers while minimizing the cost to advertise. While the traditional real estate companies struggle with their old-fashioned, dinosaur-like ways, Badgerland operates in a high-tech, efficient manner. The way real estate broker’s marketed properties in the 80’s and 90’s is now obsolete. Back then it was expensive to advertise and information was closely held.

Since the early 2000’s, the internet has opened the information highway to the public. It is now easy and inexpensive to market properties and information is very public. While other companies continue to employ antiquated practices like Open Houses, Broker Opens, print advertising, and mailings to your neighbors, Badgerland has embraced technology and all the cost savings associated with it.

At Badgerland, we maximize marketing exposure via the local MLS’s. In addition, Badgerland has contracted with List HUB to bring your property listing to websites such as Google Maps, AOL Real Estate, Yahoo Real Estate, Zillow, Trulia, and dozens more. We also contract with Realtor.com so that all our listings have the “Showcase Listing” package. This package imports up to 25 photos for your property, allows the customer to request a showing with the click of their mouse, and provides email and website links directly back to Badgerland. Many of the big companies and popular agents don’t even utilize these advanced features.

Not only is Badgerland saving sellers money, but we have the best “Buyer Rewards” program in the State. At Badgerland, we’ve recognized how self-sufficient buyers are – and want to be. Again, technology has put all the important MLS information at the buyer’s fingertips. Buyers can now search thousands of websites for detailed information and then decide which company/agent they want to set appointments with. At Badgerland, we reward buyers for calling us with a 25% rebate on our commission. In many cases, we are talking about a check at closing for thousands of dollars.

Despite all the recent technological advances, choosing the right agent is still important. Our full-time agents have employment histories that are extremely diversified in other important areas of each transaction. We have experts in banking and mortgages, relocation and job placement, title insurance, new home construction, public and private schooling, property and casualty insurance, and home staging – just to name a few. In fact, we bring this expertise to you every Sunday at 10am on The Badgerland Realtors Home Selling Show on AM1130 WISN. This show is currently the longest running real estate show on the Wisconsin air waves. We’ve had expert guests on the show talking about a wide array of topics – including Ran Hoth, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau. As of January 1st, 2010, Badgerland has an A- rating with the BBB. The only thing holding us back from an A+ rating is length of time in business. That’s a goal we look forward to achieving.
